Tiny house – a small house, ready to live in

A tiny house is about getting what you need in a small space. Our 18 m² house has a kitchen, a toilet and an open area to sleep and spend time in, and it is delivered finished by crane. On a plot with an existing home it can often be built without a building permit.

Tiny house as a supplementary dwelling

If you place a tiny house on a plot that already has a one- or two-family home, it can be a permit-free supplementary dwelling ("komplementbostadshus"), provided the legal conditions are met. If the plot is empty, it is an ordinary house and needs a building permit.

Living in 18 m²

  • Choose furniture with a double function: a sofa bed, a fold-out table.
  • Plan storage up high and under the bed.
  • Use the outdoor area as an extra room in summer – a deck in front of the door makes a big difference.

Built in a workshop

We build our houses indoors in Portugal. That means the frame does not get wet during construction and we can check every step before the house is loaded.
