Log cabin – or a finished timber-frame house

A log cabin has walls of solid logs or planks, while many modern small houses are built with a timber frame and insulation between the studs. The frame and façade your house gets are stated in the quote. Both are timber houses, but they behave differently in winter.

The façade

If you like the look of a log cabin, you can choose a timber façade that gives a similar feel. Ask for options when we reply by email, and we will describe what is possible.

Maintenance

All timber houses need looking after: the façade is painted or oiled at regular intervals and the gutters are kept clean. That is the same whatever the frame.
