Delivery and crane lift – how it works
We build the house complete indoors and deliver it in one piece on a truck. At the plot we lift it by crane straight onto your foundation. What matters most is that the vehicles can get there and set up close enough – so we go through the access before we confirm delivery.
Updated

House 6 × 3 m, 18 m², kitchen and toilet. Foundation and connections not included.
What the delivery includes
- Transport from our workshop to your address, including the wide-load permit – the house is 3 m wide.
- Crane lift from the vehicle onto the foundation.
- Placement and alignment on the foundation according to the dimension sketch.
You arrange the foundation, the service pipes brought up to it and the connection of electricity, water and drainage – see foundation and piers.
Access for truck and crane
| What we assess | Guide value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Road width and bends | Approx. 3.5–4 m clear width, no sharp bends | Wide load on a long truck |
| Clear height | Approx. 4.5 m under branches, cables and archways | The house sits high on the truck bed |
| Set-up area for the crane | Firm, level surface with room for the outriggers | The crane must stand stable |
| Distance set-up – foundation | As short as possible | A longer lift needs a bigger crane |
| Road load capacity | Gravel roads and bridges are checked | Heavy vehicles |
| Obstacles in the lift zone | Trees, overhead lines, roofs | Clear space during the lift |
Feel free to send a few photos of the driveway and the spot when we reply to your request. We can then usually assess the access without a site visit.
Before delivery day – your checklist
- The foundation is finished, level and diagonally checked according to the dimension sketch.
- Pipes for water, drainage and electricity are brought up to the right place.
- The driveway and set-up area are clear of cars, trailers, branches and loose objects.
- Overhead lines near the lift site are known – tell us in advance.
- Neighbours affected by the road being blocked for a while have been informed.
- Someone who can make decisions is on site.
Delivery day step by step
- The days beforeWe confirm the arrival time and route. You confirm the foundation is ready.
- ArrivalThe truck with the house and the crane arrives. Sometimes the crane is on the same truck, sometimes a separate mobile crane comes.
- Set-upThe crane is set up with outriggers and ground protection. The lift zone is cordoned off.
- LiftThe house is lifted at its lifting points and lowered onto the foundation. The lift itself is usually quick; expect the vehicles to be on site for a few hours.
- Alignment and checkWe check that the house sits correctly on the support points and walk through the house with you.
- AfterwardsYour installers connect electricity, water and drainage. If the municipality requires a final clearance, the house is taken into use only after that.
Delivery time
We build every house to order. The time from order to delivery is stated in the quote, because it depends on the order book and transport planning. We do not promise dates before they are confirmed.
Winter delivery
We can deliver all year round, but snow, spring thaw and weight restrictions on minor roads can have an effect. Piers must be founded before the ground freezes – plan the foundation in good time.
Also read the whole process and notification for water and drainage.
