Insulated friggebod 15 sqm – the 18 m² alternative
For a long time the insulated 15 sqm friggebod was the largest you could build as a friggebod without a building permit. That limit no longer applies as a separate rule. Our alternative is an insulated 18 m² house with kitchen and toilet, delivered in one piece.
Updated

House 6 × 3 m, 18 m², kitchen and toilet. Foundation and connections not included.
Three questions to ask yourself
- Will someone sleep there in winter? Then you need heating and ventilation, not just insulated walls.
- Is a toilet needed? Otherwise it means walks to the main house in the dark and cold.
- How much allowance does the plot have left? Add up sheds, garages and carports built without a permit.
Insulation in practice
An insulated shed without installed heating and ventilation easily becomes damp. In a house meant for staying in, we plan ventilation, heat source and windows together, so the house works even when it stands empty for a week.
If you really need 15 m²
Say so in your request. We explain what a smaller size would mean for the layout and whether it can be offered.
